Interesting series, I will definitely look into Oscillo for the preschool sick season.

Whole Foods' site wouldn't accept my comments, something about my IP being tagged as involved in malicious or illegal activity... huh?!

By Blogger Superdumb Supervillain, at 12/06/2007 8:17 AM

Okay, they're giving me the same error message for my comments. Grrr.

By Blogger Bebemiqui, at 12/06/2007 11:40 AM

hi cammie, naomi + bebemiqui!
thank you for listening to the podcasts + letting me know their comments aren't working. that's a bummer + a whole foods representative just emailed me that they noticed you were having trouble + they're fixing it right now. consider yourselves entered in the giveaway.

Hi, I belong to a group that orders
organic foods, facial, skin, dairy and other types of items. We pay a certain amount and then all of our orders to to one members home and we sort orders, pay her and take our goodies home! This company reminds me
of ours. I have to say that washing one's hands is very important. Thanks,Cindi

thanks for telling me laura :)

i'll check with whole foods again.

what did you think of the podcasts?

By Blogger mod*mom, at 12/09/2007 5:02 PM

This is perfect. My daughter keeps getting sick (sinus crap) so I'm going to send her over here to have a listen. Wish we even had a Whole Foods in our area.
We do the zinc and vit c combo. And the very important washing of the hands all the time! I've not been sick in ages.
thanks for the op to win!

By Blogger Linda, at 12/09/2007 9:27 PM

Thanks for helping us stay healthy this cold and flu season! What I learned:
-there is a Wellness Formula for children, very good
-Ocsillo can be used before you even have a full blown cold
-ginger is great for your immune system as well as Elderberry
-I need to get more sleep and have less stress

Very informative stuff!!! Thank you!

By Blogger Brit, at 12/11/2007 8:23 AM

What did I learn from the PodCast? All kinds of stuff! But I particularly liked the info about Oscillo being used to minimize the cold and increase recovery time.

My #1, all-time prevention method (I rarely get sick)? NEVER touch your face after touching areas touched by others (door handles, shopping carts etc). If I have no paper towel to open doors, I become a contortionist and use my elbow or become a pirate and pull my and in my sleeve to protect my hands when opening the door.

well i left comments in all three but i think that i goofed because where it asks website i put mod*mom but I did not mention you in the space that you leave your comment. Is there anyway to change your comment or add to it? Well all three had great information and I will be on my way down there today to get the wellnsss formula and the probotics.

I learned a lot about the immune system and homeopathic products that can support it. This will be useful during the flu season. I especially liked the Malia Curran podcast, for its general information about how things like medicinal mushrooms and probiotics can protect us, and how we can also reduce our chance of getting sick by managing lifestyle: stress! I learned more in the podcasts for Oscillo and Wellness Formula about prevention, as well as reducing the severity of illness by using these products to strengthen the immune system at the first sign that your body is doing battle with a nasty bug! Thanks.

By Blogger JoAnne, at 12/16/2007 5:31 PM

Ginger helps your immune system. I guess I'mg going to have to eat more. My own tip is to wash your hands frequently to get rid of germs that could cause cold/flue

By Blogger dodo, at 12/19/2007 9:23 PM

I heart Whole Foods! I'm there every week. I love going to a market where I don't have to read every label to find out if something has MSG, nitrates, etc. etc.

Oh...this is so right up my alley. Sinus issue should be in my name somewhere (avoidance of red wine darn it, should be highlighted)...with megadoses of allergy/sinus/decongestants. I'll try healthier options! THanks!!!

Oh, we could use this. I've been fighting a cold for the past two weeks, taking cold-ease, zinc, and extra vitamin c. I survived it and was still able to do everything I needed.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12/22/2007 7:12 AM

I learned a little more on the immune system!! Thanks for the link!

By Blogger danandmarsh, at 12/22/2007 9:52 PM

I definitely learned some new things! We have been sick on and off for a month now. We will be trying Oscillo!

By Blogger holly K, at 12/22/2007 10:01 PM

I will try some of these, we have been fighting "the crud" since thanksgiving. Thanks

By Blogger pattidriving, at 12/23/2007 5:37 AM

My husband is a teacher and although he seems to be immune, I get everything he brings home. P.S. being sick over Christmas doesn't bring out the joy in the season. :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12/24/2007 2:18 PM

Fantastic information! Thank you so much for pointing me in the direction of Whole Foods. I am new to the Whole Foods store in my area. Having one son with asthma and another with sensitivities to OTC meds. and cow milk, I sought out alternatives to the local grocery store. I knew our entire family would benefit form a few key changes.

What I learned from the Podcasts:
-cold symptoms provide a way for our bodies to cleanse themselves
-Oscillo is safe for kids, and they actrually like it due to its sweetness
-There are over 200 viruses that can cause colds.
-I need to take extra care to keep myself healthy.

What we do in our home to try to stay healthy- We take a daily echinacea/vitamin C supplement in addition to our regular multivitamin.

Thanks so much for the link to the podcasts.

By Blogger mod*mom, at 12/25/2007 10:13 PM

Wow fantastic prizes, I've been fighting pneumonia for 3 weeks now.
I'm tired of being sick.

Happy New year

By Blogger mphoinix, at 12/26/2007 10:42 PM

I love the information on that website. I am always looking for ways to keep our family healthy. Thanks for passing along the link and having another great contest.

By Blogger Heather, at 12/27/2007 2:07 PM

Thanks for those podcasts. I will definitely be passing on that information about Oscillo to some of my friends with young kids. The BIG thing I learned, though, was that symptoms are a way for the body to heal itself. That really makes me think. I always thought symptoms were adverse effects from the virus, but in all reality they're just a way for the body to help us. Thanks for the great blog (and giveaway)!

By Blogger ruth, at 1/24/2008 2:37 PM

Thanks for the podcasts and this lovely giveaway. It is interesting to know more about Oscillo and I will try it. I take fish oil and vitamins daily which I think is important.
